My Halloween tradition consists of posting a version of Warren Zevon’s Werewolves of London on my blog. I consider it one of my favorite songs of all time. So when I die, some 60 years from now, I expect this song and O Come Emmanuel, played at my funeral. (From the profane to the sublime?) Here is this year’s version. Let me mention however, this is in no way an exoneration of another performer who, lacking both musicianship and a sense of humor, severely debauched this song. Here’s a great song by Mr. Zevon called Keep Me In Your Heart, I’m sure I’ve included it before but here it is again:
